I love Lucy!
I'm really pleased with the way this Lucy Bag turned out...very thick and firm...a nice solid bag.  Had a little trouble felting the straps, but, it seems to work.

So, now I'm working on a couple different pairs of socks, a scarf, and the Dream Swatch (not yet started, but heavily on my mind! )  The sock thing seems complicated, but I'm hoping I understand it better after making more of them!

Knit group last night was, as always, a great time!  So much laughter and silliness!  Dale and Bobby sent each of us home with a free ball of yarn...THANK YOU, LADIES!!!  I just love their quaint little yarn shop...feels like a home away from home...right down to the pink flamingos in the bathroom!

Wellllllllll, I felted the Lucy Bag this morning, and it's drying now!  I'm really pleased with it, but had more trouble felting than I've had in the past....I blame the change in current in Lake Erie!  Soon as it's alllll dry, I'll post some pics!

Okay, so I am quickly becoming a yarn addict, and may require intervention of some sort.  I am buying yarn for projects left and right...there just aren't that many hours of the day, and I'm not even that skilled of a knitter yet!   Again, I blame Patti.

Had a GREAT time with the knit group the other night...went out for Mexican after the shop closed, and pigged out on spinach enchiladas.  What was the name of that restaurant we went to?   Here it is...El Vaquero...in Perrysburg.  It was Elaine's wonderful idea.  She's an adorable, new knitting friend who happens to be pregnant, and hadn't had dinner.  I SOOOO love pregnant friends....and my responsibility as a friend to eat with them when they are hungry.  Thank you Elaine!  There are pictures of this little party...somewhere, but I haven't seen them...YET!

Hey...got a minute???  A dear, wonderful friend showed me this...thought y'all might like it...The Last Knit!

Hi Girlfriends...and such!  I'm sitting here listening to Lime N Violet's podcast (LMAO), and knitting (sorta) the Buckeye sock(s) that are takin' me waaaaay too long!  If I could stop laughing at Lime and Violet long enough to finish a row, that could help!

So I'm sitting here, laughing and being silly with them and such, and I take a look at my coffee table which has become my "knitting office," and general happy place...OMG...Would you LOOK AT THIS CHAOS???

I think the funniest thing is the  half bag of marshmallows situated in the middle of the table for my dining pleasure!  Isn't that little tornado disaster quite stunning?  What's that, you say?  Those gorgeous yarns in the middle of my table????  THOSE are the latest editions to my yarn stash from Stone Barn Fibers!!!  Try not to covet...and please refrain from drooling on your keyboard!   Thanks to Sarah Lou for turning me onto Ice Cream Sundae.  Couldn't you just LICK it off the screen!?!?! The owner of SBF, Cathi, enclosed this in her note that arrived with the yarn: "When you are using the 'Ice Cream Sundae' in the middle of the summer, keep looking at it with visions of vanilla ice cream dripping with strawberries and chocolate.  It is better than the real thing (not really) because there are absolutely no calories."  Isn't she the cutest?  I also got some Cosmic Storm!  Thanks, PP for helping me find and purchase the yarn!

Okay...back to knitting and such!  Tomorrow night is knit group (we really need a name), and I need to be ready for somebody (Patti) to show me how to turn a heel!

Okay, so the Lucy Bag for Patti is pretty much done, just need to finish the short strap, and felt it!  I'll show ya when it's allllll done!  I'm really pleased with the colors, and can't WAIT to see what it looks like once it's all felted up!  Mmmmm, Noro, Kureyon!

So now I'm working on my very first pair of socks (with Patti's help), and they're comin' along very nicely!   Seee????

Yea...I know it's not much, but I'm gettin' there!   I really feel this hankerin' within to make socks, socks, and more socks!  I blame Patti.

There are about ten MILLION reasons I love Patti, but here's one of them....LOOK at these ...these are all the socks she's made me:

Oh, oh....looky this cool pattern that my new knitting buddy, Sarah Lou, showed me...it's way cool, and I plan on adding a couple of these to the project list: http://www.knitandtonic.typepad.com/dreamswatchwrap.pdf     Here's hers:

Now, she says hers is a little to WIDE, so she'd suggest not making it quite as wide (she said to do 18 stitches instead of 24), and I have to say, I agree, but isn't it totally cool????

Oh, and one of the Karen's at knit group (I think there are four of us...five including Linda) is knitting this adorable baby blanket...here's the pattern, Patti:  Argosy Baby Blanket

Okay....I need to get back to those socks, and a few other projects calling my name!   Have a great week!
